A championship of fishing in Sanguinet (France carnassiers challenger)
On Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th of May, crews coming from all the western part of France to participate in a championship of fishing in Sanguinet (France challenger zone Ouest). It consists in fishing with lures, in a boat during eight hours.
Fishing with lures is a technique more and more practiced as well in freshwater as in the sea. It consist in using a lure (swimming-fish, flexible lure, moving or swaying spoon lure), the objective is to give life to it in order to imitate a true small fish. The fishing lure can imitate an injured prey to stimulate the appetite of the carnivorous. The fishing lure can also have a motivational aspect to get nervous the carnivorous and to use its hunting instinct. Numerous carnivorous go to the lures as well in freshwater as in the sea. We can name the representative fish such as the pike, the pike perch, and the perch or in the sea the bass, the yellow Pollock, the cod or the red tuna.

Saturday May 14th 2016
- 6 h 30 : welcome and breakfast on the site Les Eaux qui Rient,
- 7 h 15 : briefing,
- 7 h 45 : control of the competitors,
- 8 o’clock : departure of the boats towards the starting line,
- 8 h 30 : beginning of the competition,
- 16 h 30 : end of the round,
- 18 h 30 : award ceremony,
- 20 h: diner at the municipal hall.
Sunday May 15th 2016
